Newborn sessions are designed to be a relaxed experience for baby and family and are done in the comfort of your home using only natural light if possible. They are for babies under two weeks of age only,although I prefer to photograph newborns before they are one week old as they are usually still quite sleepy and easier to pose. Those cute sleepy, curly poses will probably not be possible with babies older than two weeks. I have a wide range of props that we can use, but I encourage you to choose some special items from your home to include in the pictures as well. Due to the unpredictability of brand new babies, these sessions range from one to four hours in length, it all depends on your baby. Most of this time is spent nursing the baby, settling them to sleep, and posing them rather than photographing. If the weather is nice we can head out into your yard for some truly unique newborn portraits. Please contact me while you are still pregnant to book a newborn session and I will pencil in your due date. When your baby arrives, please contact me as soon as you can so that we can schedule a time for you within that first week if possible.
